Borussia Dortmund take narrow advantage to Paris
Fullkrug's goal gives Dortmund slender lead
PSG face uphill battle in second leg
Borussia Dortmund have taken a slender 1-0 lead over Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final. Niclas Fullkrug's first-half goal was enough to give the German side a narrow advantage ahead of the second leg in Paris on 7 May.
The match was a cagey affair, with both sides struggling to create clear-cut chances. However, it was Dortmund who took the lead in the 27th minute. Fullkrug latched onto a long ball from Mats Hummels and fired a low shot into the bottom corner.
PSG pressed for an equaliser in the second half, but they were unable to break down a resolute Dortmund defence. The French side's best chance came in the 70th minute, but Lionel Messi's free-kick was well saved by Gregor Kobel.
Dortmund will now take a narrow lead to Paris for the second leg. However, PSG will be confident of turning the tie around on their home turf.
