Carlos Alcaraz is a doubt for Spain's Davis Cup Finals campaign after suffering an abdominal injury in the Paris Masters final. The World No. 1 retired from his match against Holger Rune in the second set and is now facing a race against time to be fit for the Finals, which will be held in Malaga from November 22-27. Alcaraz has been in excellent form this year, winning five titles including the US Open. He is also the youngest player to reach the world number one ranking since Rafael Nadal in 2005. Spain are the defending champions of the Davis Cup and will be hoping to have Alcaraz available for their campaign. However, the injury could not have come at a worse time for the 19-year-old, who is also due to make his ATP Finals debut in Turin next week. Alcaraz's injury is a blow to Spain's hopes of retaining the Davis Cup. However, they will still be confident of success with a strong team that includes Nadal, Pablo Carreno Busta and Roberto Bautista Agut. Spain are drawn in Group B for the Davis Cup Finals and will face Croatia, Canada and Serbia. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals.
